Sharps Disposal Program

Your local Sharps Disposal drop-off

The Rockledge Fire Department now has approved sharps disposal receptacles at two of our three stations to accept used or unwanted needles.  Bring your used needles to station 35 (station 1) at the corner of Barton Blvd. and U.S.1, or to station 37 (station 3) at 3500 Murrell Rd. and an on duty firefighter will be happy to assist you in disposing of your needles.  We will also provide you with a new approved container.  Just remember that in order to accept the needles, the following guidelines must be followed:

1) The needles, or "sharps" must be in an approved container and sealed.  

2) You must physically place the container into the receptacle.
