Smoke Detectors
We encourage all of our citizens to check their smoke detectors for proper functioning at least twice per year. Remember that even smoke detectors which are wired into a home's electrical system need batteries. If you are not familiar with performing a function test or are otherwise unable to do so you can contact any one of our fire stations for assistance. Our department will provide free smoke detectors and installation as inventory allows. Remember, SMOKE DETECTORS SAVE LIVES!

Other Safety Reminders
Citizens are encouraged to always use candles and other open flame sources responsibly.

Always have electrical work within the home performed by a qualified professional.

When there are small children in the home we encourage all of our citizens to keep all medications, chemicals or sources of open flame secured safely out of reach.
